3D Puff Digitizing is a technique used in embroidery that adds dimension and texture to a design by using a foam underlay. It creates a raised effect on the fabric, giving the design a three-dimensional appearance.

To achieve the 3D effect, a foam underlay is placed beneath the stitches of the design. This foam acts as a padding and causes the stitches to lift off the fabric. The digitizer creates the design by adjusting the stitch density and choosing appropriate fill patterns to achieve the desired effect.

While 3D Puff Digitizing can be applied to a wide range of designs, it is best suited for designs that have bold, thick lines or larger areas of stitching. Small, intricate designs may not work as well with this technique.

While 3D Puff can be embroidered on various fabrics, it is most commonly used on medium to heavy-weight fabrics like caps, jackets, and sweatshirts. It is important to consider the fabric thickness and stability to ensure the successful execution of the 3D effect.
